Ms. V Chu
B.C. Certified Math Teacher
Ms. Chu is a B.C. certified Math teacher with a degree in Mathematics and Education. She's been teaching in a classroom setting for over 18 years and taught children, adolescents and adult students for over 25 years. In the past, she was a Senior Math teacher at York House School in Vancouver and Math Department Head and Coordinator at a BC off shore school in Nanjing, China. She is extremely passionate about teaching mathematics and is always so excited to unravel the wonders of mathematics to her students.
She loves her work because of the “aha!” moments in problem solving and the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students with different abilities in mathematics. She not only taught at the highest ranked school in BC (according to the Fraser Institute School Rankings), but she also taught at a school on the opposite end of the spectrum. This invaluable experience provided her with a skill set to teach effectively students from different background and learning abilities.
Her goal is to help students gain a better insight in the importance of mathematics in their daily life in a fun and stress-free environment, while ensuring a much stronger understanding and interest in math. You would be confident that she is a teacher with a solid knowledge in the B.C. Math curriculum, assessment, technology and best practices in the teaching of Mathematics.
Mr. A Buttar
B.C. Certified Math and IB Teacher
Mr. Buttar is an experienced BC certified Math/IB Math higher level instructor and provides math tutoring for students grade 6 and up. He obtained his master degree in mathematics and earned his teaching degree at UBC. He is enthusiastic and believes that everyone can quickly learn academic subjects when they engage with practical, focused lessons. He is well equipped to teach and is extremely passionate with math. Mr. Buttar does not focus on matching the answers to textbook questions; rather, he explains the whole concept to ensure his students fully understand the problem. He is currently teaching in the BC's public school sector as a high school math/IB teacher.
Mr. L Cheng

Ms. C Aperocho
B.C. Certified English and Math Teacher
Ms. Aperocho earned her Bachelor of Elementary Education major in Special Education, Cum Laude, from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines. Moving back to Canada in 2017, she immersed herself in the BC Curriculum by working at independent Richmond and Vancouver schools, teaching students from kindergarten through grade 9. Ms. Aperocho has 9 years of classroom experience in private and public schools in British Columbia and the Philippines. She completed her Certificate of Professional Practices from Simon Fraser University in 2022. Ms. Aperocho's background in special education has been her backbone in creating individualized instruction for each student while capitalizing on their strengths and incorporating their learning styles to make learning engaging and accessible. Ms. Aperocho is currently working with the Vancouver School Board.
Ms. M Donich
B.C. Certified French Teacher
Ms. Donich is a B.C certified elementary school teacher and specializes in teaching French. She has taught students in Kindergarten to grade 8. Prior to her teaching career, she completed the Professional Development Program and studied French as a Second Language at Simon Fraser University. Additionally, Ms. Donich studied French at the University of Tours in France. She graduated with an MA in Environmental Education and Communication at Royal Roads University.
Ms. S Lee
B.C. Certified English and Math Teacher
Ms. Lee is a BC certified teacher with over 16 years of teaching experience. She has taught students from Junior Kindergarten to grade 7 and spent a few school years as a resource teacher. She has taught in many Vancouver schools from east, to west and to the south. Additionally, Ms. Lee has served as a Vancouver summer school principal for the past 3 summers. Furthermore, Ms. Lee has worked as an assessment teacher for new students arriving into the Vancouver School district. During Ms. Lee's time as a teacher she has also contributed in the development of a component in the elementary BC Social Studies curriculum. Prior to her teaching career, Ms. Lee worked for an Independent English Language school in downtown Vancouver. She has been tutoring students as young as five years old to adults for more than 15 years. For professional development, Ms. Lee has attended multiple literacy workshops/conferences and some with a focus on Orton Gillingham. Her current goal as a professional teacher is to integrate BC’s new curriculum with the old curriculum.
Mr. J Lynn
B.C. Certified Science and Social Studies Teacher
Mr. Lynn has been an educator for 24 years including 4 years spent teaching overseas in South Korea. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Physical Geography from the University of the Fraser Valley, and a Bachelor of Education degree from Simon Fraser University. He has taught many different ages ranging from Junior Kindergarten all the way up to Grade 12. For 18 years he has been a high school teacher in the BC public education system. Over the past 9 years, core subjects taught have been primarily Junior Science and Senior Earth Sciences including Geology 12.
His philosophy has always been to take a patient approach to teaching aimed at depth of learning in units taught rather than skimming through a large amount of curricular content. His emphasis has been on developing critical thinkers and problem solvers who can apply their skills and knowledge in real world situations outside of high school, as well as preparing students for the rigor required in post secondary education.
Mr. P Orchard
B.C. Certified English and Humanities Teacher
Mr. Orchard has been a teacher for over a decade working both in Canada and internationally. He has a Master’s in Education and teaching credentials in Alberta, British Columbia, and IB. He is familiar with various Canadian curriculums, the International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement, and the British GCSEs and A-levels. Working now in British Columbia, he is successfully helping students through their schooling experience and achieving their academic goals. Being an English and Humanities department head, the goals have always been designing a progressive ladder to have students find knowledge and connectivity to the course goals.
Mr. F Siddiqui
Certified Senior Chemistry, Biology and Honour Specialist in General Science Teacher
Mr. Siddiqui has been an educator for over a decade. He holds a degree in Science and Education. His pedagogy revolves around empowering students to think critically and facilitating their success through a growth mindset. Mr. Siddiqui provides his students with a solid foundation in curriculum content as well as teaching methodical problem solving techniques which is a fundamental part of his teaching style. Each student has a different learning style and he makes sure to identify the best approach for the individual student to ensure they understand the content. The student's success is his success.
